"This is a great little resort for people looking for a taste of authentic Fijian experience and adventure You can relax with the staff and locals and feel part of the family "
"Very friendly and helpful staff. The beach, coconut trees and crystal clear waters were spectacular. We loved relaxing by the pools. We had lunch and dinner several times at the resort's restaurant and found the meals very delicious."
"Room had bugs, but was otherwise nice. Property is older, but the amenitites were decent. The food tasted like plastic at the buffet and Bamboo restaurant. Staff is nice to the extent you can pay. I️ would stay elsewhere next time."

"Uprising is a boutique “resort” on the beach. Water is shallow which suits young kids, or there is a pool. Bures appear to be under renovation. Villas are good for parents with up to 2 kids. Bathroom is huge but there is also an amazing outdoor shower for each villa. Staff are very kind and personable. We came by local bus from Nadi but would recommend having a rental car to get about. Within walking distance is the Arts Centre which is just opening after major construction works. This recreates an authentic village with an extensive discussion of cultural practices, chiefdom, ancient history etc.
After 8 days here, we had tried most of the menu with no complaints. Skipped lunch most days as continental breakfast is 3 course(designed for rugby players) or smorgasbord , depending on crowd size. If you want to be crammed in with hundreds of others, go to the big resorts on the Coral Coast. We had a few days on Beachcomber Island before coming here, so we’re happy not to do snorkeling type trips from here, but they are available. Overall, highly recommended!"
"Great location and lovely staff, however mainly family orientated. Good value for money, with local options still within walking distance of the resort. No issues with checking in or out, and service was always friendly."
"We had a great time, unforunately we came during a fluke of poor weather but still made the most of it. Staff were amazing and kind, they remembered my daughters name alot. We didnt use nanny or kids club but can tell they are grest with kiddos. We used kids club facilities but stayed with her during poor weather. Toba bar and grill has a STAR staff member Kinny. She was absolutely wonderful and showed so much generosity and kindness to my little one. She always looked after us and went above and beyond. Kinny is exceptional. Adi at kids club and the leisure area to collect towels was also so beautiful and always remembered us. Staff are just welcoming from the moment you enter.
The club lounge staff were also wonderful to us and to my little one making sure she was happy and comfortable. I wish I remembered all their names but they were great."
"Stayed a week in the Frangipani rooms. Rooms were basic but sufficient for our needs. Outdoor shower was welcome and there was always hot water. The rooms weren't cleaned although we never requested this. Food served at lunch consisted mainly of burgers and wraps and these were tasty. There were usually 4/5 dinner options from daal soup to fish and steak dishes and these were enjoyed by the group. The free breakfast is simple consisting of cereal, bread and jam. Cooked breakfast is available as an extra. The Base Fiji tours were excellent. We took part in the kayak tour which was great with the rock pool swim under the waterfall the highlight. Amenities include free use of kayaks. Snorkelling gear is available to hire. Staff are very friendly and are always happy to help. There are also several local tours run by staff including visiting a local farm and a 2/3 hour hike to a rockering pool where you could go for a swim and I enjoyed it. The Beachouse caters for all types of toursts from single travellers to couples and those with young families. We ended up playing cards most evenings and you can also play pool or table tennis. There was a live band on Saturday evening who were good snd played for around 3 hours. Weather was great for the first 5 days. However. It rained for 48hrs straight which meant that excursions were cancelled but this meant that people made more effort to get to know one another."
"I didn’t have Breakfast but Lunch and dinner was really nice.
100% if I’m being critical TV is far from user friendly even with staff help
The beer could be much colder
Apart from that totally recommend the place. So much room such nice people. "
